UITLEG / EXPLANATION Slowmography - nederlands Slowmography is een interactieve installatie, waarbij de bewegingen van het publiek worden vast gelegd in één intrigerend beeld. Het tijdsbestek bepaalt het beeld. Je kan snel bewegen of je kan met je vrienden in slow-motion bewegen of op andere wijze de interactie aangaan en kijken wat de uitkomst daarvan is in Slowmography. Slowmography - english Slowmography is an interactive installation that captures the movements of its audience in one intriguing image. The chosen timeframe determines the resulting image. You can move fast or very slow with your friends or find other ways of interacting and look at the outcome in Slowmography on the spot. |
VOLGENS ANDERE Slowmography tijdens Museumnacht 2010 Het thema van Museumnacht 2010 was XS/XL. Cultureel Pakhuis Las Palmas (Het Nederlands Fotomuseum, LPII en De SKVR Beeldfabriek) vroeg David Smeulders met zijn XL Slowmography camera deel te nemen aan hun Museumnacht programma op 6 maart. Slowmography was een groot succes onder de bezoekers. Lachend bewogen zij zich op het podium en gingen op de foto. De foto, of beter het fotokunstwerk, konden zij later thuis downloaden. Slowmography heeft ook een educatieve laag, je laat er nl. mee zien hoe fotograferen werkt. WHY THESE CAMERA's From out a fascination for photography I've started to building my own camera's. In the beginning these could only capture a curtain space [by a wide angle lens and for the full 360 degrees]. But later on I've realized that the most importuned aspect of a certain space is the moment that takes place. Therefor I've started to investigate how it is possible to capture time within one image. This results in a camera that scans an image over time [from 1 to 20 minutes].The direction of moving objects is being vizualist within 1 image. |
